Shelters that simplify the adoption process by eliminating hoop jumping and waiting periods make adopters happy. Saving a life by adopting a pet should be fun and easy. When it is fun and easy, the new adopters will tell their friends, who also tell their friends, who also adopt from the shelter and spread the word about their good experience. Revenue from adoption fees and donations increase.
More lives can be saved because animals move through the system quicker and more room is made for incoming animals. More revenue is generated for lifesaving programs.
So simple - yet so incomprehensible to some minds. Simple math should be a prerequisite on the resume of shelter directors.
